This project was a continuation of research conducted by Dr. Curt Keedy of Lewis and Clark College. I needed a senior research project and chose his project as the most tangible to my interests.
I was hired to take a misused, corroded Varian 400z GFAA and make it work properly. As a newhire I was timid but unveiled problems from sample containers to set up. This was my first write up of findings. This machine was later used to qualify other fabrication plants until their GFAA's could be installed.
This was a report made to a group of engineers to help them identify the different analytical techniques in atomic spectroscopy.
