Hello
fellow Internet surfer and welcome to my home page.
I'm
very glad that you made it this far and I hope that you'll stick around
long enough to get to know just a little bit more about me and my life.
After
all, these days, acquaintances that begin in cyberspace are often the most
real, vivid, and long-lasting - and maybe that will be true of us.

I
was born in Osaka, a large city in central Japan,
but
my family soon moved and did so often
being
a family in the military.
So
I grew up with a very international childhood.
Add
to this the fact that my father was an "information worker" before
the term was invented,
and
you'll find it small wonder
that
I'm something of a science nerd.
This is a photographic retrospective
of my life to date
~
a mere 46 years ~

I
have been described as reserved, aloof, interpersonally cautious, yet ready
to try almost anything once. The new, the unexplored, the unexpected seems
more like play than work as long as it is practical and useful. I see myself
as very straight forward, honest, and dislike wasting time and energy.
I am especially skilled with my hands, master tools well, and am a better
than average troubleshooter using my understanding and knowledge of the
world around me.
So
if you have a job that fills my day with impractical meetings and routine
paperwork, please pass me by. You are doing us both a favor.
